Music MinistryIs there a place for everyone to be involved musically at Grace? Absolutely! The Scriptures call God"s people to sing praise to Him. Even Jesus sang hymns with his disciples. Grace church sings psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs (Eph. 5:19, Col. 3:16) when we gather in worship. As Christians, we are to live our lives in the worship of God, but when the church gathers together, we have the special opportunity and privilege of joining our hearts and voices together in corporate worship. With one mind and one voice, you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (Rom 15:6).We believe that worship is God-ward. God alone is the audience of our worship. Our worship is not about performance, but rather a reflection of our love and awe of God and Jesus Christ. We turn to the Scriptures as our guide for how God is to be worshipped.
A Brief History of Grace InJanuary of 1991, five determined families met in the Union County Library in Blairsville, Georgia, for the purpose of establishing a Reformed Presbyterian Church. Presbyterian Church of America (PCA) responded to their request, and in June of that same year, they began a journey of faith that led to this place of worship in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains. From the public library, this small congregation moved into a storefront at the Blairsville Mini Mall for worship and began to grow in numbers. At the end of 1993, membership had grown to 25. In July of 1995, 11.6 acres of land were purchased for the future house of worship.Ground breaking was held on April 5, 1998 and with great thankfulness, the first worship service in the new sanctuary was January 24, 1999. Members worked for several months that year to complete the fellowship hall, and on November 3rd, it was completed and dedicated. There was now room for Sunday School rooms and fellowship events. Each year brought new excitement as Grace PCA Church grew. God has provided wise shepherds to lead this congregation. Rev. Bob Valentine served from 1991-1992, Dr. Ross Bair, 1993-2003, Dr. John Grauley, 2003-2009 and Rev. Jon Jacobs, 2009 to present. Additions to our church staff in 2010 were Bob Woodham as Music Director/Administrator and Daniel Henderson as Director of Student Ministries.
Prayer Ministry"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Philippians 3:6The people of Grace church not only pray for one another, but it is also our privilege to pray for the needs of people who are connected with Grace in some way. One of the strategic ways that Grace prays effectively is via our e-mail prayer chain. If you are in need of prayer, consider sending us a current or ongoing prayer request and our prayer team will join you before the throne of God. Send prayer requests to nanceet@windstream.net

Each year brought new excitement as Grace Community Church made greater financial and prayer support for missions, opportunities for children and youth, music ministry and spiritual growth through worship, bible study and enrichment from missionary visits. At the same time, financial gifts were such that much of the financial debt on the land purchase and construction of the sanctuary and completion of the fellowship hall, were greatly reduced. God provided wise shepherds to lead this congregation. Rev. Bob Valentine served from 1991-1992, Dr. Ross Bair, 1993-2003, Dr. John Grauley, 2003-2009 and now serving, Rev. We welcome those who visit these mountains and those who find a home here.

www.equip.pcacep.org How we are governedOur form of church government is called "Presbyterian", or the rule by elders, who are elected by the congregation. It is representative in nature.
What we believePresbyterian Church in America We believe the Bible is the written word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the revelation of God’s truth and is infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice. We believe in the Holy Trinity. There is one God, who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe that all are sinners and totally unable to save themselves from God’s displeasure, except by His mercy. We believe that salvation is by God alone as He sovereignly chooses those He will save. We believe His choice is based on His grace, not on any human individual merit, or foreseen faith. We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who through His perfect life and sacrificial death atoned for the sins of all who will trust in Him, alone, for salvation. We believe that God is gracious and faithful to His people not simply as individuals but as families in successive generations according to His Covenant promises. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells God’s people and gives them the strength and wisdom to trust Christ and follow Him. We believe that Jesus will return, bodily and visibly, to judge all mankind and to receive His people to Himself. We believe that all aspects of our lives are to be lived to the glory of God under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
Worship at GraceAbove all, we desire to exalt the name of Jesus Christ in all that we do. It is our hope that you will encounter the life changing truth of the gospel during your time with us. We know it is not easy going to a new church with new people, but we trust that you will feel loved and welcomed. What can I expect? Our worship service is fairly traditional and is centered on Jesus Christ and his redemptive work in our lives. It includes the great hymns of the faith as well as prayer and the teaching of the Scriptures. Our preaching attempts to unlock the truth contained in the Bible, verse by verse (expository preaching). The service lasts approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. What’s the style of dress? Many people dress up for church, but some dress more casually. Dress as you feel comfortable. Will there be child care? Nursery is provided for Sunday School & Worship (located downstairs). What if I have questions? There are greeters who will welcome you once you arrive. You can talk to them or the deacons who are seated in the back of the sanctuary. Please let us know if you have any special needs so we can serve you better. We hope that you are blessed by your visit to Grace!
Welcome to Grace Thank you for your interest in Grace Presbyterian Church! Our church is committed to encouraging people to pursue a life-long relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe that sound Bible teaching, Christ-centered worship and prayer, as well as fellowship with other believers are essential parts of that relationship. If you live close by or are just visiting, we would love to invite you to worship with us any time that you are able.
